CCPS Employee Wellness Center

Employees enrolled in one of our 3 insurance plans (Plan A, Plan B and Plan C), and their dependents 2 years of age and older, may utilize the wellness center. Eligible users must call the wellness center to make an appointment. There is no fee for appointments, or medications and labs dispensed/conducted at the wellness center.

  1. In California, sessions are limited to three (3) in a six-month period, not to exceed a total of five (5) sessions per year.
  2. Covered individuals are eligible for a combined total of five (5) face-to-face sessions with BDA clinicians. Individual face-to-face sessions are available for covered individuals 16 years and older. Family/group face-to-face sessions are available for covered individuals 12 years and older, and their parents. Face-to-face sessions are not available to children under the age of 12.
  3. Covered individuals with complex and/or longer-term problems will be referred by your BDA clinician to another professionally trained clinician. This referral will be billed to your health insurance plan or a community provider and does not count toward your five (5) grief and/or legal sessions.

CCPS Employee Wellness Center

Marathon Health For Life.

Charlotte County Public Schools is excited to announce the re-opening of their employee wellness center with their new vendor, Marathon Health. CCPS is excited to continue this benefit to their employees, retirees and dependents. Health assessments and coaching to build healthy habits and manage chronic conditions will also be provided from the convenient location. There is no co-pay for services at the employee wellness center. Eligible users include employees, retirees and dependents (2 years of age and older) who are enrolled in one of the District’s three health plans.

What types of investing products are available?

You may choose from several types of investment products for your 403(b) or 457(b) retirement savings. The different investment products listed below represent the majority of all account types currently available. The 401(k) plan is limited to mutual fund investment options only. The assistance of a professional representative could help you chart a course for successful investing. Note that each investment product has specific provisions and advantages associated with its use.

Standard Interest Annuity

 This is the simplest form of retirement savings and is similar to a savings account.

Equity Index Annuity

 Combines many of the characteristics of an interest annuity with the opportunity to participate in any positive returns realized in a stock market index.

Variable Annuity

 Several investment alternatives are combined within these plans. The participant may select one or more investment accounts managed by the carrier or other various investment management companies.

Mutual Funds

 Offered by investment management companies and brokerage firms. Participants may direct their contributions to various investment portfolios which are managed by the custodian or management company.
