Simple Dream Catchers

The seventh graders have been finding out what Native Americans did to make dream catchers and rain sticks. The original idea for the dream catcher came from a special educator day at EPCOT in 1995.

Process:

The pipe cleaners were made into individual circles first. Students then folded each of the lengths of string. The folded string was attached to the pipe cleaner at approximately equal intervals. Then each row of knots was made. Three rows made up our dream catchers that somewhat resemble the shape of a star.
