The following links are provided as a source for staff encountering difficulties in the classroom related to handwriting. Interventions activities should be attempted for 6 to 8 weeks before referring a student for an Occupational Therapy evaluation.
Included are prerequisites for handwriting, developmental components necessary for handwriting, compensatory strategies/activities for trails, a worksheet to assist in guiding you in determining the needs for your student, and a glossary to define terms.
