On January 11th, Charlotte County Public Schools and the Charlotte County Local Education Foundation hosted the annual Golden Apple Gala at the Sunseeker Resort, an evening dedicated to recognizing the outstanding contributions of the district's educators and support staff.

"It was an honor to celebrate the dedication and hard work of our incredible teachers and staff," said Superintendent of Schools Mark Vianello. "These individuals inspire our students to reach their full potential daily, and are the heart of our educational system."

The gala, emceed by Lois Thome of WINK News, culminated in the announcement of Amanda Clyatt from Sallie Jones Elementary as Support Employee of the Year and Mrs. Addison Montgomery from Deep Creek Elementary as Teacher of the Year. Mrs. Montgomery, in recognition of her outstanding achievements, was presented with a new car courtesy of Harbor Nissan.

School Board Chairman John LeClair added, "The Golden Apple Gala is a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge the incredible staff who sacrifice so much for the betterment of our students, and community. We are incredibly proud of our educators and support staff and grateful for their tireless commitment to our students."
