After School Programs

  • Ages 4-12 Years. At our Afterschool Sites, the staff provide a safe and fun atmosphere for families who require care for their children during the school year. Care is provided right on school premises. Care is provided at six school sites, including Charlotte Harbor Center which serves children with special needs. PM Snack is provided at each site. (East, Sallie Jones, Meadow Park, Neil Armstrong and Kingsway.) $25 registration fee; $45/week. For both Before and Afterschool care: $25 registration fee; $55/week. $100 deposit for non-EFT.

    YMCA Before & After School focuses on nurturing a child’s development by providing a safe and healthy place to learn foundational skills. Kids will develop healthy, trusting relationships and build self-reliance through the Y values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Our program offers a variety of daily activities focusing on the following: academic enrichment and homework assistance, structured outdoor activities for physical activity, Character Development, proper nutrition through free healthy snacks, hands-on, engaging, indoor activities, and balance of planned and club based curriculum.

    Before and After School child care is available for children in elementary school ages 5 – 12 Myakka, Sallie Jones, Peace River, Neil Armstrong, and transportation from Meadow Park to the Franz Ross YMCA.  Some of our sites also offer Before and After school care for middle school students.

    Before Care (not offered at all locations) $17 per week: After Care $50 per week, Before and After Care $60.00 per week. Additional fees apply for SRD and Holiday Care. ELC and Scholarships available.

    Hours: Monday - Friday 2:00 PM - 7:00 PM (Open all school days)
    Cost: $25 a week made payable one week in advance for care.
    A one time registration fee of $75 is also due upon enrollment.

    Members enjoy activities provided by caring youth counselor professionals, including certified school teachers. They receive homework assistance, physical fitness, health skills, fine arts, technology, STEM, character and leadership development.

  • Vineland Elementary's Extended Day Program offers students the opportunity to be engaged in Enrichment Classes geared toward their age level and interests! Math Games, Spanish, Culture Club, Book Club, Wii Dance, Computer Exploration, and Art in Science to name a few. Daily schedules include Snack and Fellowship Time, Homework or Free Choice, 2 Enrichment Classes and Outdoor Free Activity Time! Our professional staff is comprised of VES Teachers and Para Professionals who ensure a caring, organized, and quality program. Allow us to make your child's before and after school time worthwhile!

  • Kingsway Elementary is proud to offer before and after school daycare. Our professional staff, comprised of certified teachers and paraprofessionals, will provide many activities for socialization, creativity, and play. Snacks and homework help are also a part of each afternoon session.

    • KEEP is open on the days that school is in session.
    • Morning Session: 6:30 am – 8:00 am
    • Afternoon Session: 2:55 pm – 6:00 pm
    • Part Time is 1-3 days each week. Full Time is 4-5 days each week.
    • Students may be enrolled in morning and/or afternoon programs.
    • Students may be enrolled in full and/or part-time programs.

  • Looking for before and/or afterschool care? Liberty Elementary is very proud to offer a before-school and after-school enrichment program. We believe afterschool time should not be wasted. It can be fun with an emphasis on learning. Learning by doing is our philosophy.

  • The Police Athletic Program at the Charlotte County Sheriff's Office is an exciting opportunity to work and play sports with youths and give them crime prevention and law enforcement education at the same time. PAL focuses on academics, athletics and relationships between community and law enforcement. PAL offers after school and summer camp programs.
