CHARLOTTE COUNTY, Fla. — Charlotte County Public Schools (CCPS) is pleased to announce a generous donation of more than $22,000 from the Isles Yacht Club to support the Culinary Arts Program at Charlotte Technical College. The donation marks the culmination of a three-year partnership, with the Charlotte Community Foundation serving as the fiscal sponsor for the Isles Yacht Club Charity Cup.
The funds will play a critical role in advancing the exceptional culinary education provided at Charlotte Technical College, supporting program enhancements and accreditation efforts led by Chef Jason Osborne.
"The funds from the Isles Yacht Club will truly help advance the outstanding culinary arts education the program provides," said Shelley Strickland, CEO of the Charlotte Community Foundation. "Chef Jason’s pursuit of accreditation will only enhance the training and scholarship possibilities for these talented students”
Mark Vianello, Superintendent of Charlotte County Public Schools, also expressed gratitude for the partnership and its community impact.
"This generous donation highlights the power of collaboration and community giving. The Isles Yacht Club’s commitment to supporting education will create lasting opportunities for students to pursue their passion and develop valuable career skills," said Vianello.
