Meet Our Students

I’ve been part of CCPS since transferring to PGMS in 7th grade (2022) to further my education. My siblings are proud Tarpon alumni who played sports and joined NHS, and I’ve aimed to continue that legacy while forging my own path. One of my biggest influences has been Mrs. Garner, who challenged my peers and me to give our best. Staff like Mrs. Smith, Coach Mike, Mrs. Steelnack, and Mrs. Haynes have also played key roles in preparing me for success. Coach Mike, in particular, has taught me lessons that go far beyond basketball. As a student-athlete, I’ve worked hard to balance academics and sports. With discipline and strong time management, I’ve been able to excel. I’ve played two basketball seasons, joined NHS, served on the Student Advisory Council to share student input with district leaders, and maintained a 4.5 weighted GPA. My goals are to attend college for medical studies and play basketball at the collegiate level. -Obi Edeoga, CHS class of 2028

Meet Our Students

Lemon Bay High School has been a part of my life long before my high school career began. With my mom teaching here, I’ve watched the school grow and thrive. Lemon Bay offers a wide range of extracurriculars, allowing every student to find their place. For me, the soccer program has helped me build lifelong friendships. The school also encourages involvement beyond the classroom. Our community resource center provides opportunities for service, jobs, and enrichment programs. I’m excited to attend Girls State soon — an experience that aligns with my passions. Lemon Bay’s counseling team is exceptional, and it’s clear the school genuinely prioritizes student success. That focus strengthens the connection between students and staff and boosts overall motivation. I can truly say, “It’s just better here. -Leah Slicker, LBHS Class of 2026

Meet Our Students

I’ve been a student in CCPS schools since kindergarten, and now, as I enter my junior year, I can honestly say that each stage of my education has opened up so many new opportunities for me. I was a student-athlete starting in 5th grade, but once I reached high school, my focus shifted. The agriculture program has truly stolen my heart. My teacher, Mrs. Thompson, has shown me that there’s a world of opportunities out there if you’re willing to work for them. I currently have a 4.4 GPA and hope to go to college to major in animal science and biology. I wouldn’t be the passionate young woman I am today without the support of my mom, dad, my teachers, and the entire CCPS school system. -Myleigh Kraft, CHS Class of 2027
