A district roadmap for purposeful, accessible technology

CCPS’s School Board-approved technology plan guides how district technology supports teaching, learning, access and operations. The plan describes technology as a tool to enhance learning, strengthen instruction and help students develop skills for the future.

What the plan prioritizes

  • Standards-aligned instruction, timely feedback and authentic learning tasks.
  • Equitable access to digital resources and accessible experiences.
  • Student creation, research, collaboration and responsible use.
  • Support for educators through practical, flexible professional learning.
  • Digital citizenship, privacy, online safety and media literacy.

How progress is reviewed

CCPS monitors learning experiences, student skill development, digital citizenship and responsible use of district platforms. The plan is formally reviewed annually so priorities can be considered in light of student needs, instructional practice and district goals.

Technology with a clear purpose

The plan does not treat more technology as the goal. It emphasizes tools that address an instructional or accessibility need and enhance learning. Teachers choose methods suited to their students and lessons, balancing digital experiences with reading, discussion, hands-on learning and relationships.

The School Board-approved plan is already linked on the district site. This page summarizes its direction; please refer to the linked plan for full goals and measures. Explore Technology for Teaching & Learning and Responsible Use.
